Outdoor Chinese Quince | Pseudocydonia Sinensis

The Chinese Quince is an outdoor, deciduous tree that is a member of the Rosaceae family, it has large leaves, which turn rich orange in autumn. The flowers appear in early spring and are a delightful shade of pink, which the large fruits are oval and turn golden-yellow as they ripen. The bark flakes and peels attractively. These can be a little challenging to keep. 

May need some protection during the winter, place in an unheated greenhouse if temperatures are likely to fall below 23°C. 

Water regularly and generously throughout the growing season and never let the soil around the rootball dry out. Keep soil moist in winter.
