Juniperus Chinesis ‘Blaauw’ was introduced to Europe from Japane more than a century ago. The foliage of this cultivar jas a bluish tinge when grown in the ground, but, when used in a bonsai pot, the leaves turn mid-green.
This outdoor, evergreem is easy to keep and likes full sun throughout the growing season. Only repot when the tree needs it (perhaps 2-3 years).
Keep the soil just moist this tree doesn’t like to be waterlogged.
Exposure to frost temporarily turn the foliage yellow or brown.
